Really weird scary dream?

Dreams, scary or otherwise, hold little or no sway on reality. The most probable cause of the dream you experienced was either some movie, or computer game or some other visual stimuli which impacted emotionally at a deep level. Given that when we dream the brain throws images and feelings at us, juxtaposed with whatever stimulus the brain has witnessed, it really amazes me that I haven't gone totally insane with some of the things I have dreamt about. You can relax though because even though some nightmares can visit our dreams over many nights, they are all harmless even though our subconscious makes them eerily realistic.
