Adjectives are words that describe a noun. For example, a red rose. Red is the adjective, rose is the noun. Adverbs are basically the way that an action is done. For example, the girl danced joyfully. Joyfully is the adverb because its describing how the dancing was done. Many adverbs end in -ly. It can also be a word like "well". In a sentence, the girl danced very well. Well is describing the dancing. I hope that makes sense now.
