Who do you admire, and why!?

well, i envy my mom basically because she is the most intelligent, open-minded person i have ever met. She moved here with a scholarship from iran after serving as valedictiorian of her school . she went to school here, even though it was hard because she had me. she served in the iranian jail because she was involved in anti-governmental affairs(trying to fight the injustices and cruelties of iranian government) before she came here. she went to school for many years before becoming a physicist, and now she has a very nice salary, but is still so modest with her money, and refuses to flaunt her wealth or buy fancy things to belittle people. she could in an instant, but she thinks materials are a waste. and of course she is still fighting for humanitarian rights in iran to this day. i have never met someone so dedicated,loving, or smart. i know this is pointless and it sounds like im bragging, but i want to know other peoples stories. who do you admire and why? =]
